OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Senators have signed defenceman Mikael Wikstrand to a three-year entry-level contract. Andy Lee . A native of Karlstad, Sweden, Wikstrand had 11 points (four goals, seven assists) in 19 games with Frolunda of the Swedish Hockey League. He added two points (one goal, one assist) in seven games as Frolunda was defeated in the SHL quarter-finals by Linkopings. Prior to making his SHL debut, Wikstrand registered 20 points (four goals, 16 assists) with Mora of Swedens Allsvenskan league. Wikstrand helped Sweden earn a silver medal at the 2013 world junior hockey championship in Ufa, Russia, registering four assists in six games. He was selected by Ottawa in the seventh round, 196th overall, of the 2012 NHL draft.
