The Canadians dominated the contest, outshooting Russia 52-12. Laura Brooker, Jessica Pinkerton and Katia Clement-Heydra had the other goals for Canada while Tatiana Rafter added three assists. Goaltender Kelly Campbell earned the shutout. Canada has now claimed three straight womens hockey titles in this event and remains unbeaten over that span. The Canadian mens team is off to the gold medal finale. The Canadians will face Kazakhstan in Saturdays final. Kazakhstan beat the U.S. 5-1 in the other semifinal contest Friday.
