Each week, The CFL on TSN panel will break down three hot button topics from around the Canadian Football League. Robin Ventura White Sox Jersey . This week they discussed who is to blame for the Blue Bombers big loss on Labour Day, Ricky Rays midseason grade, and what the Lions should do with Adam Bighill and Solomon Elimimian. Who is to blame for the Blue Bombers showing against the Roughriders on Labour Day? a) Joe Mack b) Tim Burke c) The players d) Call an audible Chris Schultz: Im going to go with c) the players. I really respect coaches, I respect the management, but the bottom line is players win and lose games. The Roughriders were in the redzone twice. They lost that game 52-0 because they lost the one-on-one battles. Players, get your act together. Milt Stegall: Im going to throw an audible and say everybody. The GM, you find the players. The coach, you coach the players. And the players, you make the plays. Right now, nobodys doing anything, nobodys holding up their ends. Everybodys responsible. Jock Climie: Im also going to throw an audible. Its not players, its player. Joey Elliott: 9-19 for 61 yards. Are you kidding me? This is the CFL. If you cant throw for more than that, youre not going to win any football games or score any points. When you get the big goose egg, that falls on the quarterback. What grade would you give Ricky Ray at the midway point of the season? Stegall: Im going to give him a C. Ray hasnt been holding up his end. You look at his red zone production and the fact that hes thrown 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Thats not good Ricky Ray, you need to pick up your game. Schultz: Im identical, Im going with C. Ray hasnt mastered the offence that hes had time to master under Scott Milanovich. He needs to get it together. Once he plays a little bit better, that whole offence will play better. Climie: You have to go with at least a B guys. The guy is second in the league in passing, his team is one win away from being tied for first place in the East with the Montreal Alouettes. Hes the leader; when you compare his performance to what the Argonauts have had the last few years… The only reason hes not getting an A is his red zone production, but hes at least a B. Solomon Elimimian looks set to return to the Lions. If and when he comes back, what should the Lions do? a) Trade Adam Bighill b) Trade Solomon Elimimian c) Play them both d) Rotate them Climie: I dont see how you can have both of these guys on the roster at the same time; I think youve got to trade Bighill. The reason I say Bighill is because I dont think you can get what Elimimian is worth right now. No team is going to give up a huge player of Elimimians caliber at this point in the season. I think Bighill probably should move on and Elimimian should take over in the middle. Stegall: No. You trade Elimimian. I say that because Elimimian is a free agent in the off-season. Hes going to want a big contract. Bighill is still under that rookie contract; he cheap and I know Buono loves those cheap players. Trade Elimimian. Schultz: You guys are crazy. This is Solomon Elimimian, the hardest hitter on the team. I dont care, get him on the roster somehow. Luis Aparicio Jersey . Baumann misjudged a long ball from Milan Badelj and failed to clear after emerging outside the penalty area, allowing Maximilian Beister to open the scoring in the 37th minute. Alexei Ramirez White Sox Replic . Salamida, 29, has played the last four seasons with the Goldeyes.
