Gauthier-Leduc scored three minutes later to make it 2-0 Oceanic but Hudon scored at 15:00 to cut the lead in half heading into the first intermission. Gauthier-Leduc scored his second of the game, on the power play, 4:51 into the second period and Culek added another power-play goal before the period was through to make it 4-1 Rimouski after 40 minutes. Beauregard scored early in the third period on the power play and Sedlak added another at 16:56, cutting the Oceanic lead to 4-3. Plante dashed any hope of a Sagueneens come back when he scored into the empty net with 1:14 remaining in the game.
