SAN ANTONIO -- KennyPerry birdied five of the first six holes and finished with a 7-under 65 to take the first-round lead Friday in the Champions Tours AT&T Championship. Washington Redskins Darrell Green Youth Home Jersey Elite Nike NFL Burgundy Red . The Charles Schwab Cup leader birdied the first three holes, dropped a stroke on the par-3 fourth, then birdied the next two holes. He added birdies on Nos. 12, 14 and 15. Perry has played the past few weeks with a higher lofted putter, but he has switched back to a less-lofted model he used when he won the Senior Players Championship and U.S. Senior Open in consecutive tour starts this summer. He had only 12 putts in a front-nine 32. "I went back to the putter I used to win two senior majors with and immediately started holing putts," Perry said. "Seems like the last two weeks Ive been having a root canal trying to make birdie. It was so much easier today. I putted beautifully." The top 30 on the money list Sunday will advance to the season-ending Charles Schwab Cup Championship next week at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco. Perry entered the regular-season finale 494 points ahead of second-place BernhardLanger in the race for a $1 million annuity. He took the lead on TPC San Antonios AT&T Canyons Course with a two-putt birdie after reaching the par-5 15th in two with a 3-wood. He parred out to remain one ahead. Tom Pernice Jr. was a stroke back after a 66. He won the 3M Championship in August in Minnesota. "My swing is continuing to improve, and this might have been the best Ive driven the ball this year," Pernice said after missing just one fairway on the back nine. "It set me up for a lot of good opportunities." Langer and Anders Forsbrand followed at 67, and ColinMontgomerie, RussCochran, Dick Mast and BobTway shot 68. ""Hes swinging really good," Langer said about Forsbrand, who was an assistant when Langer captained the winning 2004 European Ryder Cup team. "Hes certainly hitting the ball as good as anyone on this tour right now." FredCouples, the 2011 winner who missed the event last year because of a back injury, had a quadruple-bogey 8 on the first hole en route to a 75. In the midst of an impressive playoff run with the Toronto Marlies, PeterHolland joined TSN 1050 to discuss the teams success under Steve Spott which has resulted in a perfect record through two rounds. cheap jerseys from china . The 23-year-old centre also touched on how BrendanShanahan has made his presence felt with the team early on. Holland: Marlies playoff run, Leafs future cheap jerseys . PAUL, Minn. cheap nfl jerseys . JOHNS, N. MANCHESTER, England -- Wayne Rooney scored twice as Manchester United came from behind to beat Aston Villa 4-1 in the Premier League on Saturday as fans came out in support of struggling manager David Moyes at Old Trafford. It looked like being another miserable day for Moyes when Ashley Westwood put Villa in front from a 13th-minute free kick. But Rooney headed United level seven minutes later, and the striker netted his 16th of the season for the struggling champions from the penalty spot before halftime. The lead was extended in the 57th when Juan Mata scored his first United goal since joining from Chelsea in January for 37.1 million pounds (then $61 million), and substitute Javier Hernandez wrapped up the victory in stoppage time. "We had to respond and it was difficult," Rooney told BT Sport television. "We had a slow start, going behind, but we came through it and got the win and deserved it. It was a good win for us. "We know the support the manager has got from the players and from the fans and thats what matters. The support he got from the fans was incredible again today." United wont have long to savour the victory as a far sterner test comes up at Old Trafford on Tuesday with the visit of European champion Bayern Munich. Winning the Champions League is Uniteds only realistic hope of returning to the competition next season as it is in seventh place -- far from the four qualification spots. United maintains that Moyes future is not under threat during the uneasy transition following 26 years under Alex Ferguson. The start of the game had fans looking to the sky when a much-publicized plane flew overhead with a banner emblazoned with "Wrong One - Moyes Out." Just one person, who said he is a United fan, has claimed responsibility for the stunt with no supporters groups backing the protest. In fact, fans inside the ground were supportive from the start for Moyes despite back-to-back league losses at home to Liverpool and Manchester City, booing as the plane flew overhead. That faith was ttested when Westwood put Villa in front. nfl jerseys china. Rafael da Silva barged over Villa striker Christian Benteke on the edge of the box to earn a booking and Westwood responded by sending a dipping free kick over the wall and beyond stretching goalkeeper David de Gea. The home fans went silent. The only noise heard inside the ground came from the plane, which was still buzzing around above the stadium, and the Villa fans, who proclaimed Moyes as a "football genius." But Rooney sparked the comeback, finding space in the box and getting on the end of Shinji Kagawas pinpoint cross to head past Brad Guzan. The England striker would have had a second soon after had it not been for a last-ditch tackle from Ciaran Clark and some impressing defending from Ron Vlaar. United had increased the pressure on the away side, but the hosts still lacked quality and imagination in the final third. Too often it was a case of hit and hope for Moyes men. The game seemed destined for a halftime stalemate before Mata was brought down in the Villa box by Leandro Bacuna and Martin Atkinson pointed to the spot. Rooney held his nerve to power the ball to Guzans left and the home crowd started to relax. At the start of the second half, substitute Michael Carrick stuck his boot in to deny Villa striker Christian Benteke after the Belgium striker completely missed the ball going for a volley. Benteke missed another chance soon after, heading over from six yards while unmarked. But then Buttners header found Marouane Fellaini in the Villa box and he clumsily worked the ball to Mata, who struck past Guzan. The sense of relief was clear on Moyes face. Benteke missed yet another easy chance, this time shooting wide from close range, again unmarked, before Hernandez made no such mistake in turning home fellow substitute Adnan Januzajs cross at the end. "Of course at times we havent done as well as wed like, and we didnt start the game well today," Moyes said. "But the crowd were brilliant the way they got behind the team."cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Penguins are continually refining their game with the playoffs approaching. Cheap Los Angeles Dodgers Jerseys . They looked ready Monday night. Marc-AndreFleury robbed former Norris Trophy winner ErikKarlsson with a sparkling third-period glove save and JamesNeal scored at 3:05 of overtime, giving the Penguins a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa Senators 2-1. "I just tried to get my leg, my glove over there and try to stop it," Fleury said. "I was glad it went in my glove." Neal netted his 18th of the season and his first goal in nine games for the Penguins, who won for the 16th time in 17 home games and are now 23-4 at Consol Energy Center. Pittsburgh also avoided back-to-back regulation losses for the first time since dropping three straight in early November. "When you dont score you sometimes try to pick corners and be a little too cute," Neal said. "I was able to find one tonight. It was a good feeling." Ottawa goalie CraigAnderson stopped RobertBortuzzo from the slot in overtime, but the rebound popped out to Neal, who dragged the puck around a Senators defender before dumping a shot past an out-of-position Anderson and into an empty net. "I was trying to be patient with the puck and wait for an opening," Neal said. "I knew their D-man was going to go down and Anderson was kind of far out when (Bortuzzo) got the puck to the net." Ottawas StephaneDaCosta and Pittsburghs BrianGibbons scored in the first period. Ottawas best chance to take the lead in regulation came midway through the third period, but Fleury robbed Karlsson with a dazzling glove save. Fleury, while pushing from post to post, reached high above the cross bar, snagging the fluttering wrist shot from Karlsson, who had a partially wide open net to shoot at. "I dont know if theres a save that beats it," Penguins head coach DanBylsma said. "It was going high to the right corner and he had to get up there and get it. "It was an open cage, he pushes over, and gets the glove up to make the save. I hope we see this one over and over again." Karlsson might see it in his sleep. The Senators leading scorer fell to the ice in astonishment after Fleurys stop. "I just smiled at him," Karlsson said. "Theres nothing I can really say. He knows he made a good save and unfortunately Im going to be on the highlights for quite some time with that one." Fleury stopped 24 shots for his league-leading 30th win of the season, while Anderson turned aside 46 shots for the hard-luck loss. Penguins captain SidneyCrosby, who leads the NHL with 75 points, was held without a point and hasnt scored a goal in five games, his longest drought since a seven-game slump earlier this season. "Hes 100 per cent," Bylsma said. "He was our best player on both sides of the puck and I thought he played an excellent game regardless of whether he got a point or not." The Penguins, who lead the Eastern Conference with 80 points, went 6-3-1 their previous 10 games, looking dominant during impressive wins against Montreal and Los Angeles but struggling in losses against Edmonton, Florida, Dallas, and Phoenix, all teams out of playoff contention. The Senators handed the Penguins arguably their worst loss of the season Dec. 23 in Ottawa, shutting them out 5-0 in a physical contest that saw Pittsburgh forward PascalDupuis tear his anterior cruciate ligament on a hit from MarcMethot. Ottawa, in the mix for an Eastern Conference wild-card spot, allowed three goals in the final 5:58 during a 6-3 loss at Toronto on Saturday, the second time in four games the Senators allowed six goals. The improved, hardened defensive effort Monday was certainly enough to help the Senators a win but they couldnt take advantage of their opportunities. "We played hard," Anderson said. "We gave ourselves the opportunity to be there. Just unfortunate we didnt come out with two points." Ottawa broke through at 5:56 of the first period, Da Costa scoring his third of the season after he lifted a short-side wrist shot over Fleurys shoulder from the top of the crease. Ottawas ZackSmith took a boarding call 29 seconds later and the leagues top power-play unit capitalized with the man advantage winding down, tying the game after Gibbons tipped OlliMaattas shot from the point past Anderson. That was all until Neals goal in the overtime won it for Pittsburgh. NOTES: Penguins D KrisLetang, who leads the team defensively with 10 goals, missed his third straight game with an undisclosed illness. ... Penguins F TaylorPyatt left with a lower body injury after the games first shift. ... Pittsburgh is 14-1 at home when it registers at least one power-play goal. Anthony Calvillo, through 20 CFL seasons, was frequently invincible and largely stoic in the heat of competition. But underneath the professional exterior he was, and is, compellingly human.HAMPTON, Ga. -- Ricky Stenhouse Jr. hardly felt guilty after sneaking away with his fourth Nationwide victory of the year. "Heck, yeah, we stole it," he said. "Weve had a few stolen from us, so you go out and get as many as you can." Stenhouse used a late push from runner-up Brad Keselowski to pass Kevin Harvick and win at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Saturday night. After a restart with three laps to go, Harvick lost the lead on the final lap as his car got loose coming out of Turn 2 and, Stenhouse, who was bumped by Keselowski on the front straightaway, went ahead for good in Turn 3. "It was good, hard, clean racing, and Im glad that we could put on a show for fans because it really wasnt a show up until that point," Stenhouse said. "It was a great night and fun racing with Kevin there." Stenhouse, the defending series champion, moved within 12 points of leader Elliott Sadler. Keselowski got into a heated argument after the race with Harvick, who accused him of throwing a water bottle out of his car to cause an earlier caution flag. Harvick, who led 157 of the 195 laps, failed to win a Nationwide race for the eighth time when leading the most laps. "The run was really good, but obviously it wasnt what NASCAR wanted so we kept throwing cautions for things," Harvick said. "The car that caused the caution pushed the car that won the race by us and we werent able to get by him, but what can you do?" As he and Keselowski sat side by side speaking with reporters after the race, neither driver backed down from his stance. Harvick blamed Keselowski for tossing the water bottle and causing a caution that led the field catch up. "Its pretty obvious," Harvick said. "He told me after the race that hed never thrown a water bottle out, and you know what that means. He told me it was intentional. It is what is," Harvick added before turning to Keselowski and muttering, So, sleep good. " Keselowskki stared straight ahead as Harvick spoke, and he later was absolved when the only infraction NASCAR charged him with was for speeding as he entered the pits on lap 51. Cheap France Soccer Jerseys. "If that water bottle wouldve been the cause for the yellow, it went out of my car 15 or 20 laps before the yellow came out," Keselowski said. "I dont know specifically what lap it was. I guess thats why I was caught off guard that the water bottle caused it. I dont know why the yellows come out. The yellows come out all the time in the race without an explanation." Sadler finished fourth, followed by Justin Allgaier, Austin Dillion, pole winner Kyle Busch, Cole Whitt, Sam Hornish Jr. and Michael Annett. Danica Patrick, making her first Nationwide start in Atlanta, finished 13th. After a red flag came out following a wreck that took out James Buescher, Mike Bliss and Kyle Fowler, there were 20 cars sidelined from the 43-car field. Stenhouse said before the race that he was surprised that his Ford didnt win the pole, but after the race he credited crew chief Mike Kelley with continuing to tighten the car on pit stops and giving him enough power to beat Harvicks No. 33 Chevrolet on the final restart. "Ive been doing this for 25 years, and many times at the end of the race youre frustrated, the driver is frustrated and the team is frustrated because you dont get the best adjustment," said Jack Rousch, owner of Stenhouses No. 6 Mustang. "And all night tonight, for the three stops we had, Mike Kelley dictated great changes, as good a changes as Ive seen in 25 years." Busch, the Nationwide career leader with 51 victories, has had a frustrating weekend after finishing second in the Truck race Friday night. Hes winless in the Nationwide series this year, but won a pole for the first time in his own Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 54 Toyota. Hornish, in third place, dropped 32 points behind Sadler in the series race. Dillon is fourth, 37 points out. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

WASHINGTON -- Fabian Espindola scored twice and added an assist to lead D. jerseys from china .C. United to a 4-1 victory over short-handed FC Dallas on Saturday night. Bobby Boswell and Sean Franklin also scored for the Washington club, which extended its unbeaten run to five matches and scored all four of its goals after the first-half ejection of Dallas defender Zach Loyd. Dallas Michel also was sent off late by referee Fotis Bazakos. D.C. forward and U.S. World Cup hopeful Eddie Johnson assisted on Espindolas first goal just before halftime, but left in the 51st minute with an apparent leg injury. Mauro Diaz put the visitors ahead early to extend Dallas streak of scoring at least one goal to seven matches. United improved to 3-2-2, and Dallas dropped to 5-2-1. But Dallas has conceded eight goals in its last three matches after allowing only six over its first five. United rarely looked like scoring, however, until Bazakos issued a second yellow card for Loyds slide tackle on Uniteds Davy Arnaud in the 39th minute. D.C. immediately seized momentum and pulled even deep into first-half stoppage time when Espindola headed in Johnsons outswinging cross. United then sealed things over a 10-minute span midway through the second half. Boswell put United ahead in the 60th minute when he hammered in a rebound after Chris Seitz saved Conor Doyles initial close-range shot. It was 3-1 three minutes later when Espindola split a pair of Dallas defenders on the left and chipped a cross toward Franklin, who side-footed his finish inside the right post. In the 69th, Espindola scored his second -- and his fourth of the season -- when he took Chris Rolfes feed on a counter attack and drove another low finish beyond Seitz. After snapping a 15-match streak without a victory that stretched back to August of 2013, United is now on its longest unbeaten run since it went seven unbeaten to close the 2012 regular season. wholesale jerseys . -- ErnieEls hardly ever catches a break at the Match Play Championship.cheap nfl jerseys . NEW YORK, N. Adam Jones Authentic Jersey .Y. - When other parts of their game are sputtering, the New York Rangers have two solid-gold assets to fall back on. Penalty killing and goaltending. Its a combo that has helped the Blueshirts to within one victory of their first Stanley Cup final in 20 years. And it has frustrated the Montreal Canadiens, who must win Game 5 Tuesday at the Bell Centre to stave off playoff extinction. With a 17.1 per cent strike rate good for 19th during the regular season the Montreal power play was hardly a well-oiled machine. But against the Rangers, the Canadiens are 1-for-17 with the man-advantage. Montreals lone power-play breakthrough came Sunday night in a 3-2 overtime loss at Madison Square Garden. And that P.K.Subban blast from the point was tempered by a short-handed goal by CarlHagelin that opened the scoring. The Canadiens power play went 1-for-8 on a night where the Rangers spent 14.33 minutes or almost 22 per cent of the game a man short. "Give credit to our (penalty) killers and our goaltender," said Rangers coach Alain Vigneault. "They did a real good job." That is nothing new. Prior to Subbans goal, the Rangers had killed off 27 straight penalties. New York is 37-for-39 (94.9 per cent) on the penalty kill in its last 12 games The penalty count was three to one against the Rangers by the 10-minute mark Sunday, the perfect scenario for a Montreal team looking for a decisive start to silence the Rangers crowd. "We had the opportunity on the power play but we didnt take advantage of it tonight," lamented Montreal coach Michel Therrien. "Yes, we scored a goal. It was a tying goal, but we gave up one, and that was the story of the game. I thought our power play had to be better." The Rangers go-to forward pairing on the power play is Hagelin and BrianBoyle. Hagelin is a speed merchant while the Boyle resume reads "big body, blocks shots, good on faceoffs," according to Vigneault. Boyle can also pass a bit, finding Hagelin all alone on a stretch pass deep from the New York end. Hagelin broke in alone, faked a shot and tucked a backhand between the legs of DustinTokarski at 7:18 for his sixth of the playoffs. It was the Rangers first short-handed goal in 70 playoff games, dating back to April 9, 2008. The New York penalty kill is smart and sleek. Goalie HenrikLundqvist has worked hard on his puck-handling and his defenders are well-positioned. If a Ranger gets to the puck first behind the net, for example, there is usually a teammate standing just feet away ready to dump it down the rink. "I think our guys do a good job whether it be on the forecheck coming back in the right positions and trying to create those battles where youve a chance to make a couple plays and get it out," said Vigneault. "When we dont, (our) goaltender stops the puck." In four games, Montreal has seven goals on 107 shots. While Tokarski has won kudos for his play in stepping in for the injured CareyPrice, Lundqvists playoffs numbers are sparkling a .931 save percentage and 1.98 goals-against average. The Rangers have allowed two goals or less in 13 of their 18 playoff games., including six of the last seven games. New York ranks first in the NHL in goals against per game in the playoffs at 2.11. Sundays win was the 41st post-season win of Lundqvists career, tying him with MikeRichter for the most playoff victories in Rangers history. The 32-year-old Lundqvist ranks first in Rangers history in regulation wins with 309, eight more than Richters 301. In contrast, the 24-year-old Tokarski has 13 NHL games 10 in the regular season and three in the playoffs. Lundqvist picked up an assist on DerickBrassards second-period goal, his first in 85 post-season games. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, he is the first Rangers goaltender to record a playoff assist since MikeRichter on May 11, 1997. With Game 5 coming up fast, the main Ranger talking point will be whether DerekStepan can return from a broken jaw suffered in Game 3. On the weekend, he managed to drop by the arena to see his teammates before returning home to recuperate from surgery. Brassard, meanwhile, returned to the lineup Sunday after being knocked out of Game 1 early with an upper body injury and made his presence felt. In addition to his goal, he led all skaters with 18 faceoffs wins, winning 75 per cent of his 24 draws. New York is winning the faceoff battle. On Sunday, the Rangers took 48 of 79 draws for a 61 per cent success rate. MartinSt.Louis hot hand is also of note. His OT winner Sunday Louis extended his point streak to six games (4-37), tying a playoff career high in the post-season. He leads the Ranges with 13 points in these playoffs. NOTES Hagelin was Sundays recipient of the Broadway Hat, a battered black fedora given to the player judged by his peers to be most instrumental in a Rangers win ... The Rangers are 12-1 all-time when they lead a playoff series three games to one. Nick Markakis Jersey . NHL hockey is returning to the Manitoba capital. The True North Sports and Entertainment group announced on Tuesday that they have completed a deal to purchase the Atlanta Thrashers and move them to Winnipeg in time for the 2011-12 season. Adam Jones Jersey . -- BrandonJennings made the most of his first game with the Detroit Pistons on Sunday night.TORONTO -- For once, expectations are sky high at the start of Toronto FC training camp. A team that has long been the MLS doormat --Toronto has won six, nine, 10, nine, six, five, and six games since coming into the league in 2007 -- enters the 2014 season as a shooting star thanks to the hoopla over high-priced signings Jermain Defoe, Michael Bradley and Giberto. "Its a bloody big deal" is the already tired slogan around the acquisition of England striker Defoe. But the atmosphere is unmistakable. "Theres a buzz," said general manager Tim Bezbatchenko. The players started arriving late this week and most trained indoors Friday, although manager Ryan Nelsen did not involve those who were are the recent Canadian national team camp in Florida. He also gave Bradley a pass, given his recent involvement in Serie A. "Michaels had a lot of football," Nelsen said. "He doesnt need it now. He just probably needs a little rest." Captain Steven Caldwell sat out with a minor calf knock while the club waited on visa paperwork for Brazils Gilberto and Jackson. Toronto leaves Sunday for Florida. The 31-year-old Defoe will remain with Englands Tottenham until the end of February. Toronto opens the season March 15 in Seattle. Nelsen says the team will give Defoe time to bed in when he gets here. "We have to be very careful and we have to judge it. Hes here for four years, its not like were going to rush him back, patch him up if we have to and throw him out on the field. We have to think long-term. "So when hes ready to play, hell be ready to play. If thats Game 1, then brilliant. If its Game 4, so be it." In his second year on the job, the 36-year-old Nelsen finds himself in a totally different situation. He arrived last year with minimal knowledge of the talent that awaited him. He has the squad of his choice largely in place this time. "In all honesty I thought it might take a couple of years to get to the situation where we are right now," said Nelsen. There was short-term pain for long-term gain last season. Some 27 players came in -- if you count Israeli defender Tal Ben Haim whose loan deal from QPR never quite happened -- and 26 exited. The revolving door has slowed ahead of 2014 but those coming in have been quality additions. The three DPs are joined by American Justin Morrow and Englands Bradley Orr on defence, Jackson and Canadian star Dwayne De Rosario in midfield and teenage Canadian forward Jordan Hamilton. The team still has some roster work to do on the status of Argentine midfielder Matias Laba and English fullback Richard Eckersley. Laba is in camp while Eckersley, with the teams blessing, is not. Laba also has a designated player deeal, meaning Toronto is one over the three DP limit. Nelson Cruz Orioles Jersey. So the club has to find a way to restructure his contract or move him on. The club likes the Argentine, who at 22 has many years ahead on him. Heres guessing the team finds a way to farm him out without losing track of him. Eckersley is a victim -- sort of -- of a rich contract that grew fatter this year when the team was forced to restructure his deal to help ease its salary cap burden last season. Toronto could take a one-time contract buyout to get out from under the Eckersley contract burden without taking a salary cap hit. Toronto can also reach a settlement with Eckersley or deal him while eating some of the contract, which would impact the cap. Other MLS teams are unlikely to take Eckersley at his current number. Still, Bezbatchenko is confident he can find a way. Given his background as a former MLS insider and the leagues seemingly fluid rules, he is likely to succeed. When it comes to his starting lineup, Nelsen often says his players -- not him -- pick the team with their performance on the pitch. When all his pieces are in place, one would expect a likely starting 11 of Joe Bendik in goal behind a backline of Morrow, Caldwell, Canadian Doneil Henry and Orr, a midfield of Jackson, Bradley, De Rosario (or fellow Canadian Jonathan Osorio) and Alvaro Rey with Gilberto and Defoe up front. Its a good-looking team sheet, although the rest of the roster is young. Nelsen likes what he sees but is realistic. He knows it takes time to turn around a franchise and establish a winning culture. "It doesnt matter who you put out on the field, the clubs got to learn how to win ... we know weve got a long way to go." Nelsen adds: "I say that with one side of my face. The other side says if theres a group of guys that can live up to any expectations, I feel like these guys will really enjoy it and will enjoy the pressure. "It will be different for them because we will have a target on our back. Everybody will want to beat us. Everybody wanted to play us because they knew they could beat us in the past. Now theyll want to play us because they will want to try to prove a point to beat us. "Its a different mentality and its going to be difficult. But its a lovely challenge to be in." A one-year partnership with the North Carolina-based Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL Pro League gives TFC a place to give some of its younger talent a chance to play. Toronto may also look to loan a player within MLS. Bezbatchenko was part of the process in getting the newly installed loan format approved while he was working in the league office. SARASOTA, Fla. Washington Redskins Robert Griffin III Mens Home Jersey Elite Nike NFL Burgundy Red . -- Baltimore Orioles third baseman MannyMachado will start the season on the 15-day disabled, manager Buck Showalter announced on Sunday. Machado, who had left knee surgery Oct. 14, had visited his Los Angeles-based surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache on Thursday and was given the go-ahead to resume all activities. However, Showalter doesnt want to rush the 21-year-old All-Star, who injured his knee at Tampa Bay on Sept. 23. "The thought of him starting the season on the active list is not realistic," Showalter said. Machado was not available to discuss his injury on Sunday. On Saturday, Machado said that he didnt want to put a timetable on his return. "He knows the level he has to perform at to be in the big leagues. We want to get it right the first time," Showalter said. Machado will stay in Florida for extended spring training games, and then possibly play in some rehab games in Frederick, Bowie and Norfolk. After Machados surgery, a 4 to 6 month recovery was forecast. Showalter said that he expected Machado to play again next month. "This isnt a failure by any stretch. I think youre still going to get him sometime in April," Showalter said. The Orioles will have to decide on a third baseman in Machados absence -- and perhaps a second baseman if RyanFlaherty is moved to third. Showalter, who made his decision early Sunday afternoon, told Machado during the fifth inning of Sundays game. He said Machado accepted the decision, but is eager to play. "He likes our guys, but hes tired of watching," Showalter said. Washington Redskins Doug Williams Mens Road Jersey Game Nike NFL White . Barrichello is thrilled to be racing in front of his Brazilian fans for the first time since joining IndyCar, but admits he still is adapting to the series and wont be racing among the leaders on Sunday.COLUMBUS, Ohio -- EvgeniMalkin and the Pittsburgh Penguins finally flexed their offensive muscles. And they needed every bit of scoring they could muster. Malkin had a hat trick and the Penguins almost blew a four-goal lead before holding off the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 on Monday night to clinch their first-round playoff series in six games. "Its more important that we win the game and (end) the series," Malkin said of the 10th time hes scored three times in a game in his career. "Going into the second round now, you feel so much better when you have confidence. I hope in the next round I can score more." Pittsburgh awaits the winner of the New York-Philadelphia series, with the Rangers leading 3-2 going into Tuesday nights Game 6. Its a good thing for the Penguins that Malkin -- scoreless in his past nine playoff games including the first five in the series -- finally found the net. The Blue Jackets, closer to making tee times than thinking about a Game 7, scored three times in a 4:52 span in the third period to turn up the pressure on the Penguins, an overwhelming favourite before the series got under way. "Were a proud group in here," forward BrandonDubinsky said. "We didnt want to get embarrassed on home ice. If it was going to be our last game of the season, we didnt want to have any quit. We didnt have any quit in this locker room all season. We just kept pushing and pushing." BrandonSutter also scored before leaving with an injury and MattNiskanen had two assists as the Penguins became the first team in the series to score first and win -- but barely. Marc-AndreFleury made 24 saves and made a couple of big stops after the game turned into a squeaker. "It was a good test," he said of the wild last few minutes. Coach DanBylsma said the toe-to-toe matchup heralded a new level of contentious play between the teams. "Weve got a rivalry going here with the Jackets," he said. "They gave us everything we could handle and it was a nice series for them. That was an extremely tough first-round opponent." FedorTyutin, ArtemAnisimov and NickFoligno scored for Columbuus, Folignos redirect of a Tyutin shot cut the gap to a goal with 4:47 left. Washington Redskins Dexter Manley Womens Road Jersey Elite Nike NFL White. A crowd of 19,189 stood and roared the rest of the way as the Blue Jackets piled up scoring chances. The Penguins were hard pressed to fight off the aggressive Blue Jackets after goalie SergeiBobrovsky, who also had 24 saves, was pulled for an extra attacker with under 2 minutes left. MattCalvert was wide with a potential tying shot with 3:30 left. Dubinskys shot with 35 seconds left was deflected by Fleury. Columbus had overcome a 3-0 deficit at home in Game 4, scoring on a Fleury gaffe in the final seconds of regulation before Foligno won it in the overtime. "After we got the third goal, anything could happen," coach Todd Richards said. "We had done it the last time we played in the building. My thought was it was going to happen." Up until the last few minutes, it was Malkins game. He hadnt scored in the first 332:52 of the series, then scored three times in a span of 26:11. "I could see it coming in the morning skate," teammate JamesNeal said. "His shot was going into the back of the net." The Blue Jackets, one of the NHLs youngest teams, looked hopeless until Tyutins shot from the right dot ended Fleurys shutout streak at 97:26 -- since the Blue Jackets took a 1-0 lead in the first period of Game 5. But then Anisimov scored from the left point with 6:06 remaining to make it 4-2 and Foligno redirected a Tyutin shot to cut the lead to 4-3. "That was a big win," said Penguins superstar SidneyCrosby, who went goal-less in the series. "Obviously we didnt want to make it as close as we did. But we found a way to win." Notes: The Penguins improved to 8-4 in Game 6s when up 3-2 in the playoffs. ... Columbus was without veteran forward (and Pittsburgh native) R.J.Umberger (shoulder). ... For the second game in a row, the Penguins didnt have D BrooksOrpik, sidelined with an undisclosed injury. ... Sutter was limping as he went to the dressing room in the second period. He did not return. JoeVitale went knee-to-knee with a Blue Jacket early in the third and was in pain as he left the ice. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

by injuries for most of the last year. "We are a squad that can do
This week the 2013/14 Premier League season comes to a close. nflcheapjerseywholesalechina . Here at TSN.ca we will take a look back at the season by bringing together a panel of experts to help pick the best 50 players of the season. This list is based purely on their performances this season. It is not a list of who we think the best 50 players in the league are. Fourteen members were asked to take part (panel below) and submit their top 20 players of the season. Their list was then placed into a scoring system and then the totals determined the overall positions in the top 50. Each day this week we will release the list in 10s. The sport is very much about opinions, so please feel free to write your own list in the comments below. You can read part one of the list here. You can read part two of the list here. You can read part three of the list here. Here is how the Top 20 were scored 1st place 30pts; 2nd place 25; 3rd place 22; 4th place 20; 5th place 18; 6th place 17; 7th place 15; 8th place 14; 9th place 13; 10th place 12; 11th place 10; 12th place 9; 13th place 8; 14th place 7; 15th place 6; 16th place 5; 17th place 4; 18th place 3; 19th place 2; 20th place 1. The Panel Six members of TSNs soccer team were on the panel and were joined by eight other members from around the world who were asked to represent their specific field. Joining our staff members were two outstanding statistical experts, Jonny Blain and Simon Gleave, two brilliant reporters/commentators covering the league, Stewart Coggin and Paul Sarahs and two extremely knowledgeable tactics writers, Tim Palmer and Ritesh from the False9 website and a man who covers the development side of the league like no other, Aidan from the England Youth website. In addition, also involved was arguably one of the knowledgeable writers covering the league in the world, Michael Cox, aka Zonal Marking. Christian Eriksen (Tottenham) We now know that Daniel Levy, Franco Baldini and Andre Villas-Boas didnt see eye-to-eye and we also know a lot of the money, from the Gareth Bale sale, that they collectively spent, may well have better served by being set on fire for a spectacular bonfire in the middle of White Hart Lane. Thankfully, some of their purchases worked out and none better than the new Great Dane, Eriksen. The 22-year-old is on a path to world-class stardom and still managed to perform at a consistent high level, whichever role he was asked to do under whichever manager was in charge. Few in the league can muster a better delivery from a set-piece or make a key pass in the final third. 19. Fernandinho (Manchester City) The Premier League has not always been good to Brazilians. Sure, Juninho was wonderful for Middlesbrough in the 90s, but for every good Brazilian it seemed five others disappointed. Afonso Alves, anyone? Kleberson? Jo? Robinho? Things, however, are changing with Paulinho, David Luiz, Oscar, Ramires, Willian and Philippe Coutinho all shining in parts of this campaign. Citys Fernandinho, though, was the best of them all this season. Excellent with Shakhtar Donetsk, City identified him immediately as a massive upgrade to Gareth Barry last summer and how right they were. There are few smarter players in the league and the Brazilians discipline allowed Yaya Toure to blossom even more. 18. Leighton Baines (Everton) The English left back never has a bad game for Roberto Martinezs men and has become one of the faces of the Premier League internationally. It is a remarkable rise to fame for a player who seems uninterested in the bright lights. Baines, regularly linked with a move to Manchester United under David Moyes, might just be the perfect fit for Everton, who continued to evolve under their new boss and didnt use Baines as much as an attacking threat in the final third as in the past (his successful crosses were down over one per game this season compared to last). A shoo-in for a spot on the plane to Brazil for Roy Hodgson. 17. Jay Rodriguez (Southampton) Many Premier League watchers scoffed when Southampton, recently promoted to the top flight, spent in excess of seven million pounds on a Spanish sounding Englishman from Burnley. J-Rod showed flashes of talent last season, scoring exceptional goals against United and Chelsea, but this season made that price look like a bargain. The Saints were a treat to watch with their attacking flexibility this season, but all of that needed an end product and Rodriguez provided it with 15 league goals before his season, and World Cup chances, ended with a cruciate injury. Few are better in one-on-one situations with the goalkeeper - a real measure of a strikers credentials. 16. Luke Shaw (Southampton) Rodriguez is likely to stay at St Marys for some time, but his teammate, left back Shaw, may play his final game for the club this Sunday. It will be difficult for the club to turn down large offers from Premier League giants and the 18-year-old will probably be wearing the blue of Chelsea or the red of Manchester United next season. English football has waited for a talent, with a composed left foot, like this for some time. It is remarkable to think Shaw was still in high school two years ago as no stage has fazed him yet at the highest level of English football. 15. Wayne Rooney (Man Utd) The stats will show that Rooney scored 17 goals and, with 10 assists, contributed directly to 27 league goals in 27 starts (heading into the final weekend), but it was far from a great season for the forward. For a player labeled by most as world class, Rooney hasnt taken over enough games and questions still exist as to what is best position is. A liability defensively when played as a number-10 against top teams, Rooney can thrive when placed directly up front, but with Robin van Persie that will not always happen. United paid handsomely to keep him long-term, as they should, seeing that they need a lot more players close to his talent, but the new manager needs to work on Rooneys consistency and see how he fits best with van Persie and Juan Mata. 14. Jordan Henderson (Liverpool) Harshly considered a flop after making a big money move to Anfield at a young age, the English midfielder blossomed on the big stage this season, leading Liverpools intelligent press with his fantastic energy and workrate. After spending almost 20 million pounds on a 20-year-old with much to learn, it looked like Henderson may be cast aside with other big money flops like Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll. Instead, Brendan Rodgers saw something Kenny Dalglish didnt and the rest is history. Henderson was badly missed while he was suspended down the stretch. 13. Gary Cahill (Chelsea) This season Cahill took his game to another level. As the league continues to get more and more international, fewer English players are relied upon to play in big games. In just over two years at Stamford Bridge, Cahill has played under four Chelsea managers and has been one of the few players who has been trusted by all of them. A true big game performer, after stand-out performances in past European finals, the 28-year-old was exceptional for Jose Mourinho this season. Now an integral part of Roy Hodgsons squad for Brazil. 12. John Terry (Chelsea) Cahill and John Terry were easily the best defensive centre-back partnership this season. Arsenals duo had a good season, but no one came close to the English pair. Terry will tell anyone who is willing to listen just how much he loves Mourinho and it is not hard to understand why. Last season, under Rafa Benitez, the Chelsea skipper spent much of the campaign on the bench but Mourinhos style, on and off the pitch, has revitalized Terrys career. 11. Raheem Sterling (Liverpool) Once the kid made famous for being shouted at by his manager on the Being: Liverpool documentary series, Sterling is now a potential star in the Premier League. Last season he started well, but tired late and Brendan Rodgers rested his long-term project. This season, it was the opposite with Rodgers taking his time to unleash the 19-year-old until his performances were so good that the manager could no longer keep him out of the side. Had a number of outstanding games, but the world stood and took notice when he played at the top of a midfield diamond at home to Man City and was the games best player. Sterling has a real appreciation for space, but can terrify opposing defenders with intelligent, fast runs, as well. http://www.nflcheapjerseywholesalechina.net/ ." Grabner scored on a breakaway 3:53 into overtime as the Islanders defeated the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on Tuesday.ROME -- Ivory Coast forward Gervinho set up one goal and scored another as Roma moved within six points of Serie A leader Juventus with a 3-1 victory at Hellas Verona on Sunday. Gervinho provided the cross for Adem Ljajics goal in the 45th minute then scored himself on the hour mark after Iceland international Emil Hallfredsson had equalized in the 49th. Romas 37-year-old captain Francesco Totti added a penalty in the 82nd. "Winning 3-1 away against a Verona squad that is having a solid season is a good result," Roma coach Rudi Garcia said. "Especially after the draws by Juve and Napoli." Gianluigi Buffon was sent off and Juventus was held to a 1-1 draw at Lazio on Saturday, ending the two-time defending champions 12-match winning streak. Also on Saturday, Napoli drew 1-1 at home with Chievo Verona. Elsewhere Sunday, AC Milan came back with two late goals for a 2-1 win at Cagliari and Inter Milan was whistled off the San Siro pitch after being held to a 0-0 draw by Catania. www.nflcheapjerseywholesalechina.net. Inter remained fifth. Milan, which recently replaced Massimiliano Allegri with Clarence Seedorf as manager, moved up to a tie for ninth with Lazio. After Marco Sau had put Cagliari ahead in the 28th, Mario Balotelli equalized with a free kick in the 87th and substitute Giampaolo Pazzini scored the winner with a header in the 89th. "This was a very important goal for me and for the squad," said Pazzini, who has been slowed by injuries for most of the last year. "We are a squad that can do much better. Seedorf is definitely someone with a lot of experience and charisma and he transmits a lot of serenity." In the late match, Alberto Aquilani scored a hat trick for fourth-place Fiorentina in a 3-3 draw with Genoa. Alberto Gilardino, Luca Antonini and Sebastian De Maio got the goals for Genoa. In other matches, it was: Livorno 3, Sassuolo 1; Parma 1, Udinese 0; Sampdoria 1, Bologna 1; and Torino 1, Atalanta 0. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

ORCHARD PARK, N. Wholesale Jerseys .Y. -- The Buffalo Bills have started filling out their defensive staff under new co-ordinator Jim Schwartz by hiring Pepper Johnson and Fred Pagac. Johnson takes over as defensive line coach, overseeing a group featuring three Pro Bowl selections, including MarioWilliams. Johnson stays in the AFC East after spending the past 14 seasons as a New England Patriots assistant. Pagac has 13 seasons of NFL coaching experience. He will coach linebackers -- the same role he held in seven of the past eight seasons with Minnesota. Both assistant coaches reached deals Friday, becoming the first additions to a retooled defensive staff under Schwartz, who was hired last week. Schwartz replaced co-ordinator Mike Pettine, who left to become head coach of the Cleveland Browns and took many of his assistants with him. Cheap Jerseys from china . Johnson spent the last five seasons with Pittsburgh after being taken in the seventh round of the 2009 draft. He played in 52 games with 26 starts, totalling 22 catches for 216 yards and a touchdown. Cheap NFL Jerseys . Wigginton, 36, was released by the St. Louis Cardinals in July after hitting .158 in 57 at-bats. Hes a career .261 hitter with 169 home runs. Marlins third basemen totalled three homers and 44 RBIs in 2013, worst in the majors in both categories.LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers held a team meeting to address young star YasielPuigs baserunning blunders. Manager Don Mattingly called the meeting Tuesday after the 23-year-old Cuban defector made two mistakes on the basepaths during the Dodgers season-opening, two-game trip to Australia last weekend -- mistakes that made headlines in the media. "I thought it was a really good meeting, actually," Mattingly said Thursday. "But again, its one of those things that if guys want to talk about it, they can. I dont think its something we need to talk about. ... Were just looking to get better all the time." ESPN.com first reported the meeting. The dynamic right-fielder became an instant sensation last year when made his big league debut June 3 and helped lead the Dodgers from last to the NL West title. But Mattingly was often frustrated by Puigs decision-making in the field and on the bases. "He pushes the limit. He pushes it to the edge. But then youu have to re-think it and think about all the great things he does to help you win games in ways only his talent can do," teammate A. Cheap Jerseys. J.Ellis. "So there is give and take, and hes learning. But its like we always say, wed rather make an aggressive mistake than make a conservative mistake." Problems arose again Down Under. Puig made two errors on the bases then struck out in the ninth inning Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks. He then did not take his position in right field for the bottom of the ninth, complaining of a back problem. An MRI was negative, but Puig missed the teams workout on Tuesday at Dodger Stadium to get treatment. "Its up to us to help him in that maturity process, and the way we do that is to support him and encourage him no matter what," Ellis said. "Hopefully we can all be good examples, and he can take stock and inventory of how the professionals in this clubhouse go about their business." cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired defenceman MarkFraser in exchange for forward TeemuHartikainen and CameronAbney. Wholesale nfl Jerseys . In 19 games with the Maple Leafs this season, the 27-year-old Fraser has notched one assist and a minus-8 rating with 33 penalty minutes. He is currently on a one-year deal worth $1.275 million and is eligible for unrestricted free agency at seasons end. "Marks been a real good soldier for us and to be able to move a veteran player to an organization that wants them I think is a great thing," Leafs assistant general manager Claude Loiselle told TSN. "Secondly, cap-wise, were in a situation where we need to create space, because of the guys who are coming off, Bolland particularly, and then Smitty [TrevorSmith]. In the past, previously, we had John-MichaelLiles, who gave us $925,000 in cap space when he went down and with TimGleason playing up we dont have that luxury so we had to make a move." The deal frees up more than $1 million in salary cap space for the Leafs, according to Capgeek.com. It may beenough to get injured Centre DaveBolland off the long-term injured reserve once a couple players are assigned to the Marlies. Hartikainen, 23, is currently playing with Ufa in the Kontinental Hockey League where he has scored 13 goals and 14 assists in 43 games. "He wants to play in the NHL," Loiselle said. "Hes probably a third-line player, competes hard, hard on the puck and that our scouts think highly of. He has an out in his contract in the KHL so thats good." The Leafs plan to keep Hartikainen in Russia, while they will likely assign Abney to either the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League or the East Coast Hockey Leagues Orlando Solar Bears. The Finnish forward last played for the Oilers in 2012-13 when he scored one goal and two assists in 23 games. It was the final season of his three-year, entry-level deal with the Oilers. He was originally selected in the sixth round (163rd overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft and has scored six goals and seven assists in 52 career games with the Oilers. Abney - an Oilers 2009 third-rounder - has scored two goals and three assists with the Bakersfield Condors of the ECHL. He has never appeared in an NHL game. PHILADELPHIA -- Nikolaj Ehlers is a two-sport star who credits his time on the soccer pitch with helping his game on the ice. Washington Redskins Throwback Charles Mann Mens 50th Patch Home Jersey Authentic Mitchell And Ness NFL Burgundy Red . Ehlers, who played for Denmarks national team until he was 14 before concentrating on hockey, was selected by the Winnipeg Jets with the ninth overall pick in the NHL draft on Friday night. The five-foot-10, 176-pounder was fourth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with 104 points (49-55) in 63 games with the Halifax Mooseheads this past season. He feels that his soccer skills have helped him develop more speed on the ice, one of the key elements of his game. "I think Im a fast forward," he said. "I think I have a lot of speed I can use on the wing. I like to set up some nice plays and I like to score some goals." Ehlers was the first player from the QMJHL to be selected in the 2014 draft. The 18-year-old took the leagues rookie of the year and offensive rookie of the year honours. Ehlers also had 28 points (11-17) in 16 post-season games for the Mooseheads. "I found myself becoming more of a fan when I watched him play," said Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff. "Any time he got the puck, you felt like something was going to happen. "Hes not the biggest guy when it comes to size, but he plays with such good hockey sense that he knows when to take an opportunity to go, and not really put himself in harms way to try to make a play." Ehlers speed helps compensate for his relatively slight build. "He doesnt have a lot of weight on him so youre going to want him to continue to grow, but hes a pretty strong player," said Cheveldayoff. "The way he plays the game and the way he moves out there, he has some hidden strength that a lot of players maybe his size dont." Ehlers said he planned to hit the gym over the summer. "Obviously, Ive got to get a little bit bigger and stronger," he said. "I can use my speed to get out of the rough time on the ice, but Im not afraid to get hit or hit somebody." Cheveldayoff said the youngster is a well-rounded individual. "His hockey sense is right up there," he said. "And his characters not far behind. This is a player that every time we had an opportunity to meet with him, we didnt want the interview to end. Hes going to be an exciting player for a long time." HOUSTON -- Since signing with Houston this summer, DwightHoward has been telling everyone that TerrenceJones had a chance to be a very good player. cheap jerseys . Lately, Jones has been making his new teammate look pretty smart. Jones had a career-high 36 points and 11 rebounds, and the Rockets led from the start in a 114-104 win over the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday night. "Hes been doing an excellent job," Howard said. "Hes still growing as a player and hes learning the game at a very fast pace, which is great." Jones had 25 points by halftime, matching his previous career-best set on Wednesday, and JamesHarden added 22 points. The second-year player has averaged 22.25 points in Houstons four games this week. "I was just trying to offensive rebound and do all the little things Ive been doing," said Jones, who had six offensive boards. "It was just coming to me tonight." Houston led by 17 points before the Bucks got within six points in the third quarter. The Rockets responded with a big run to extend the lead and hold on for the victory. BrandonKnight scored 26 points with seven assists for the NBA-worst Bucks, who have dropped eight in a row. Jones received a standing ovation when he grabbed a rebound off a missed 3-pointer by O.J.Mayo and dribbled by him with a slick spin move before driving into the lane and finishing with an off-balance layup to push the lead to 112-97 with about 2 1/2 minutes remaining. "From a physical standpoint he outmuscled us," Milwaukee coach Larry Drew said of Jones. "We knew we had to slow down Dwight and slow down JamesHarden and defend those guys at the 3-point line, but you dont factor in a guy like that having that type of game." Howard added 20 points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets, AaronBrooks had 10 points and four assists and Jones also had two blocks, a steal and an assist. JohnHenson had 20 points and 15 rebounds for Milwaukee and LukeRidnour added 14 points. Houston led by 13 points with about 7 minutes left in the third quarter when Milwaukee went on a 9-2 run thanks to two 3-pointers by Knight and one by ErsanIlyasova to cut the lead to 75-69. The Rockets were up by seven soon after that when they scored nine straight points to push the lead to 89-73. Harden got that spurt going with a layup before Howard made two free throws before sinking a rare 3. The 6-foot-11 Howard, who often jokes that he should be allowed to shoot more 3s, smiled broadly and pointed at his teammates as he trotted down the court after hitting the long shot. It was his second 3 this season and the fourth of his nine-year career. The Bucks had three turnovers during that Houston run before ending their offensive drought by scoring the next five points. But Brooks swiped the ball from Knight after that, passed it to Harden, who finished with a two-handed slam to leave Houston up 91-78 entering the final period. The Rockets bounced back from a tough loss to Oklahoma City on Thursday night in which they set an NBA record for the largest scoring differential between two halves by scoring 73 points in the first half and a franchise-low 19 after halftime. Theyd matched the 19 points they scored then with 5 minutes remaining in the first quarter en route to a 62-52 halftime lead. Jones had five dunks in the first half and scored four points in the last 33 seconds of the half, capped by a nifty put back with 1.3 seconds left. He was particularly good in the second quarter when he was a perfect 7 for 7 from the field and made seven of his eight free throws for 21 points. "Hes got enough skill that he can put the ball on the floor, he can make shots, he can drive, he can finish, he can pass," Houston coach Kevin McHale said. "Hes a very versatile player and tonight he had it going." Jones played just 19 games as a rookie last season after being selected out of Kentucky with the 18th overall pick in the 2012 draft. He has appeared in 39 games this season with 34 starts. The 22-year-old Jones is the second-youngest Rocket to have a 30-point game behind HakeemOlajuwon. NOTES: Milwaukees GaryNeal missed the game with a stomach illness. ... Ridnour got a technical midway through the second quarter and LarrySanders got one in the third. jerseys from china . The Montreal Canadiens goaltenders dogs Motty ("short for Mozart") and Duke got loose overnight.College Station, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Tre Mason scored a go-ahead 5-yard touchdown with 1:19 remaining and the Auburn defense denied Johnny Manziels late comeback bid, as the 24th ranked Tigers edged No. 7 Texas A&M, 45-41, on Saturday at Kyle Field. Manziels fourth touchdown pass of the day to Mike Evans gave the Aggies a 31-24 lead late in the third, but the reigning Heisman Trophy winner went down with a right shoulder injury on the first play of the fourth quarter with Texas A&M deep in Auburn territory after being driven hard into the ground on his throwing shoulder by Auburns LaDarius Owens. With backup Matt Joeckel in, the Aggies were forced to settle for a 20-yard field goal from Josh Lambo that made it 34-24 before the Tigers roared back with consecutive scoring drives. Nick Marshall capped the first march with a 13-yard TD run, and after Joeckel and the Aggies went three-and-out, Mason ripped off a 53-yard run that set up Cameron Artis-Paynes 2-yard TD surge that gave Auburn a 38-34 lead with 9:06 left in the game. After leaving the sideline area briefly for further evaluation, Manziel returned to the playing field and went right to work, going 7-for-7 on a 12- play, 75-yard trek that he capped with a 1-yard TD run off the right end to put the Aggies on top, 41-38, with 5:05 remaining. Auburn (6-1, 3-1 SEC) had the final say however, as Marshall converted a pair of third downs on the Tigers ensuing touch, including a 3rd-and-9 from the Aggies 39, when Marcus Davis made a 27-yard grab down the right sideline. Two plays later, Mason surged up the middle and appeared to be stopped short of the end zone, but the Auburn running back was able to stretch the ball across the goal line while laying on top of an offensive lineman to give the Tigers a four-point edge with 1:19 remaining. Manziel moved the Aggies (5-2, 2-2) inside the Auburn 20 with a pair of completions to Evans, but on 4th-and-13 from the 21-yard line, Manziel was sacked for a 22-yard loss to seal the outcome. Mason carried the ball 27 times for 178 yards and the decisive score, while Marshall finished 11-of-23 passing for 236 yards with two touchdowns and added two more scores and 100 rushing yards on 20 totes for the Tigers, who have won threee straight games. nfl jerseys china. Manziel put forth a valiant effort in defeat, racking up 454 yards on 28-of-38 passing with two interceptions while adding 48 yards and a score on 18 carries for the Aggies, who had a three-game win streak halted. Evans broke his own team-record set earlier this year against Alabama with 287 receiving yards on 11 catches and caught the first of his four touchdown grabs on the games opening drive to put the Aggies in front. Auburn answered with a 10-play, 86-yard march that Marshall capped with a 16- yard TD run before Ryan Smith picked off Manziel on Texas A&Ms next touch to set up Cody Parkeys 27-yard field goal that gave Auburn a 10-7 lead. Manziel and Evans hooked up for another score two plays later to put the Aggies back in front, with the lanky wideout hauling in a bubble screen and tightroping the sideline en route to a 64-yard score that made it 14-10. Manziel was intercepted deep in Auburn territory on the Aggies next drive before Marshall led the Tigers on a lengthy 12-play, 96-yard scoring march. Mason converted a 4th-and-1 from the Aggies 4-yard line with a 3-yard surge to keep the march moving, and after a sack left Auburn facing 3rd-and-goal from the 13, Marshall found Quan Bray on a 13-yard scoring strike to give Auburn a 17-14 lead early in the second. Lambo nailed a 37-yard field goal later in the frame to even the score before Manziel went back to Evans to break the tie, as the Aggies wideout took a screen pass down the right sideline, stiff-armed a defender and reached the ball across the goal line to send the Aggies into the break with a 24-17 lead. Auburn pulled even again on their second drive of the third quarter when Marshall hit Sammie Coates for a 43-yard score, but Manziel answered with a 33-yard scoring strike to Evans to restore the Aggies seven-point edge. Game Notes Manziel racked up over 500 total yards for the fifth time in his career ... The Aggies scored 40-plus points for the 10th straight game ... Auburn rushed for 379 yards while holding Texas A&M to 133 rushing yards ... Texas A&M finished 5-of-13 on third downs ... Evans set the Texas A&M single-game receiving record with 279 yards against the Crimson Tide on Sept. 14. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

Purolator Inc. wholesale jerseys . announced Thursday that it has surpassed its 2013 goal of helping to collect the equivalent of 1.1 million pounds of food in the 11th season of its Purolator Tackle Hunger (PTH) program, which to date has helped deliver the equivalent of over 6.5 million pounds of food to Canadian food banks. "We are thrilled to have exceeded our goal of raising more than 1.1 million pounds of food, with still a month in the year left to go; this is a proud moment for all of us," said Patrick Nangle, Purolators President and Chief Executive Officer. "Congratulations to our employees, customers and partners- including the Canadian Football League (CFL) and its fans- for this excellent achievement. Their unyielding support and contributions in tackling hunger in our communities have helped us to continue to raise the bar each year, and I am confident that we will be able to keep this momentum going throughout the holiday season- and again in 2014." PTH was established in partnership with the CFL in 2003. Partnerships such as this have played a key role in enabling Purolator to help support Canadian families in need. "This is exciting and great news for Purolator, the CFL and our fans," said CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon. "Much like our teams and players, our fans love giving back to their communities, and the results of this program are a testament to that. Everyone involved in Purolator Tackle Hunger should be proud." According to Food Banks Canada, almost 900,000 Canadians, 38 per cent of whom are children, rely on food banks every month. The PTH program is designed to engage Purolator employees, customers and partners, as well as Canadian football fans in helping people in need. cheap jerseys from china . The Nets continued their winning ways Tuesday by sweeping a back-to-back set for the first time this season, beating the Orlando Magic 101-90 a night after routing the crosstown rival New York Knicks. nfl jerseys china . The game has been rescheduled for Tuesday at 4:05 p.m. Tickets for Monday will be honoured Tuesday. The forecast Monday calls for heavy rain throughout the day.MINNEAPOLIS- J.A.Happ returned to the Blue Jays in time for the clubs three-game series against the Twins. Hell be a long reliever for the foreseeable future, something with which hes not thrilled. "Its not necessarily what I prepared to do but if the phone rings and its me Im going to try and get guys out and take it from there," said Happ. "Other than that, I dont have a lot to say about the bullpen role." Happ entered spring training with a spot in the starting rotation. He pitched his way out of it, posting a 20.57 ERA in four appearances, battling inflammation in his back through most of March. After two poor outings, Happ was away from the club for two days, March 7-8, on what the Blue Jays termed "doctors orders" to remain off his feet. Happ returned and was no better in final two starts. The back issues, deemed to be a non-issue after Happs final appearance in a 22-5 loss to the Pirates on March 25, were the cause of his being placed on the disabled list the very next day. Happ made two rehab starts, one for Single-A Dunedin, the other for Triple-A Buffalo. With the Bisons, Happ struck out six hitters in 4 2/3 innings. The arrival of Happ, coupled with the optioning of catcher ErikKratz to the Bisons, puts the Blue Jays back into an eight-man bullpen, three-man bench scenario. Another pitching decision is on the horizon with the impending return of closer CaseyJanssen. NeilWagner, EsmilRogers, ToddRedmond and Happ are the four who could be realistically considered on the bubble. Both Rogers and Redmond are out of options. On merit, Redmonds earned the right to remain with the club. Happ has an option remaining but because he has more than five years of major league service time, he has the right to refuse assignment to the minor leagues. Rogers has given up four home runs in 8 1/3 innings of predominantly low leverage relief. However, he carries a $1.85-million ticket and is, indirectly, the asset the Blue Jays have from the John Farrell "trade" to Boston. Rogers was acquired from Cleveland for MikeAviles, whom the Jays got from the Red Sox for Farrell, and YanGomes. Gomes, by the way, just signed a six-year extension with the Indians for $23-million. Or, the Blue Jays could simply option NeilWagner back to Triple-A Buffalo, although that would fly in the face of any claim to stick with the best 25-man active roster. Manager John Gibbons trusts Wagner in hiigh leverage, late-game situations but when Janssen is back, right-handers SteveDelabar and SergioSantos will fill that role. wholesale nfl jerseys. The bullpen is, once again, a crowded place, and now includes a member who doesnt want to be there. "I see myself as a starter," said Happ. "I dont think thats any secret. I want to be a starter in the major leagues. Thats that." RASMUS PROGNOSIS GOOD ColbyRasmus wasnt in Tuesdays starting lineup, resting his left hamstring, which he tweaked in the fifth inning of Sundays win in Baltimore. "Im hoping to be in there (Wednesday,)" said Rasmus. "Come in (Wednesday) and see how it is. Got some good treatment in today and just going to go from there." The timing is unfortunate considering Rasmus recent offensive production. He hit home runs in both Saturdays and Sundays games and went 4-12 with three runs scored in the series with the Orioles. "I definitely feel much better today," said Rasmus. "I feel good about it. I dont feel like its something thats going to carry over. Just one day to get it right and hopefully (Wednesday) it will be good." REYES AND JANSSEN PLAY FOR DUNEDIN JoseReyes and CaseyJanssen made their first appearances for Single-A Dunedin on Tuesday night, the next step in their respective rehabilitation assignments. Reyes, coming back from a strained left hamstring, went hitless in four plate appearances but drew a walk, scored a run and drove in a run. He will play for Dunedin, again, on Wednesday and is expected to return to the Blue Jays on Friday, in time for a three-game weekend series in Cleveland. Janssen pitched the first inning, allowing a hit and striking out one batter. Theres no timetable set for Janssens return from an abdominal strain. Hell have at least one more appearance for Dunedin; then, maybe another. The Blue Jays are waiting to see how the injured area responds before determining how to proceed. WEATHER PROBLEMS Minnesotans are bracing for a rain-snow mix on Wednesday, which could threaten the second game of the series. Knuckleballer R.A.Dickey is scheduled to pitch for the Blue Jays. The Twins are to send right-hander MikePelfrey to the mound. Thursdays getaway day game is scheduled for 1:10 eastern time. This is the Jays only scheduled visit to Minnesota this season so if Wednesdays game is postponed it stands to reason the teams would play a doubleheader on Thursday. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

On the womens side, Jocelyn Peterman of Red Deer, Alta., split her two games to remain in a three-way tie for first at 6-2. Bottcher now has his eye on the playoffs but doesnt want to get to ahead of himself. "I feel like were getting stronger each game and hopefully we can keep doing that and growing into it." NEW YORK - As the Knicks were on their way to an embarrassing 29-point Christmas Day defeat, the Madison Square Garden faithful chanted the name of their saviour, who just so happens to be the Raptors starting point guard. Cheap Toronto Blue Jays Jerseys . Their 9-19 record remains identical to the crosstown rivals in Brooklyn and trails both Toronto and Boston in the Atlantic Division. RaymondFelton, their declining point guard, is back on the sideline nursing his third injury of the season. Their owner James Dolan has reassured his team that no one is being traded or fired, at least for the time being. Still, some Knicks fans are holding out hope that help is on the way. "Thats very humbling," KyleLowry said, flattered by the thought of Knicks fans chanting his name. "Thats humbling, I appreciate it. Its kind of one of those things where you just dont know what to say, you just are like, wow thats pretty cool but at the end of the day, I play for the Raptors." Exactly two weeks ago, Lowry stood in front of the Toronto media and addressed multiple reports that had surfaced the day prior, connecting him to trade talks with the Knicks. The rumour mill has dried up since then, for the most part, but the Raptors guard found himself answering the same questions prior to Fridays game at MSG, the first in a home-and-home set with the Knicks. Catch both contests against the division-rival Knicks - Friday at 7:30pm et and Saturday at 7pm et - live on TSN2 and listen to Saturdays rematch on TSN 1050 Radio. "That wasnt in my mind," Lowry said, asked about the possibility of playing in New York. "My mind [said] to keep playing and be a competitor and play hard, try to win as many games for the Raptors. If something happens, then it happens, until that day Im a Raptor and I play hard for the Raptors." Reconvening in New York following a brief two-day break for the holidays, the Raptors are feeling good about their place in the putrid Atlantic Division. Despite the trade of RudyGay earlier in the month and ongoing speculation that Lowry and/or others could be moved next, no one is panicking. Quite the opposite in fact. The team is as harmonious as ever and thats a credit to their flood general, who hasnt been shaken by the off-court noise and is playing the best basketball of his career. Lowry is averaging 15.2 points and 7.0 assists this season, both career-highs. He has recorded six or more assists in a career-best 18 consecutive games, obliterating his previous high, which was eight straight contests. The Raptors sit atop the division, a half game ahead of the Celtics and three games in front of the Knicks and Nets. Although theyve won five of eight since the trade of Gay - including two of three during an exceptionally difficult Western Conference road trip - the Knicks are closing in. New York has won six of its last 12 and has TysonChandler, the heart of its defence, back in the lineup. With two straight games against the Knicks and four of the next 11 against Atlantic Division opponents, this stretch could go a long way in mapping out the Raptors next step, as well as the future of Lowry and his expiring contract. "We all want to win, we all want to make the playoffs, we all want to be a better team and continue to get better," said Lowry. "I think guys are just out here, were having fun, were taking advantage of every time we can step on the floor together and just trying to win games." "I just want to keep playing. No matter what, I want to try to win games. I made a commitment to the city of Toronto, to myself and to the fans to get the Raptors to the playoffs so thats what Im here to do." Much-needed rest for DeRozan For the second straight season, DeMarDeRozan is among the league-leaders in minutes played. The Raptors guard has logged 38.5 minutes per night through the teams first 26 games with only the Knicks CarmeloAnthony and Rockets guard JamesHarden averaging more playing time. The two-day break couldnt have come at a better time for Torontos best player. "I think we just needed that," he said following shootaround at Baruch College in New York Friday afternoon. "Just to have two days to relax, get your mind off things, I think it was definitely needed for us, especially with this push were trying to make to stay on top of the division and win the next couple games." Raptors coach Dwane Casey said he is planning to monitor DeRozans minutes closely and could deploy JohnSalmons or the sparingly used LandryFields and SteveNovak to spell him more as the season goes on. ANKARA, Turkey -- Guus Hiddink is available again after parting ways with the Turkish football federation on Wednesday following Turkeys failure to quality for next years European Championship. The federation said it had reached a mutual agreement with the 65-year-old Dutch coach to end the contract that was due to expire next summer. "We thank Guus Hiddink for services rendered during his term and wish him a healthy and happy life," the federation said. Turkey managed to hold Croatia to a 0-0 draw in the second leg of the Euro 2012 playoffs on Tuesday, but Crooatia claimed a place in the final tournament 3-0 on aggregate. Turkish media reported that Hiddink had bid farewell to the players in Zagreb and did not return to Istanbul with the team. The Turkish federation did not say who was expected to replace Hiddink, who was appointed in 2010, but Belediyespor coach Abdullah Avci is considered to be a top contender for the post.cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' ' |

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Eastern Conferences top team just got more imposing. Cheap Toronto Blue Jays Jerseys . On Saturday, the Pacers added size and scoring punch to their roster by signing mercurial free agent centre AndrewBynum for the rest of the season. Team officials did not release additional details about the contract and said Bynum was expected to join the team sometime next week. "We are obviously happy to have him join our team," Larry Bird said in a statement issued by the team less than 12 hours before Indiana hosted Brooklyn on Saturday night. "He gives us added size, he is a skilled big man and he has championship experience. With the minutes he gets, he should be a valuable addition." Adding a guy with Bynums mercurial reputation to a locker room as selfless as the Pacers is definitely a gamble, though likely a low-risk one since Bird, the Pacers president of basketball operations, has made it clear the Pacers would not pay the NBAs luxury tax and Indiana had an open spot on its roster. But if Bynum performs as he did in helping the Lakers win back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010, it could create even more lineup mismatches against two-time defending champion Miami in the East. Indiana (35-10) entered Saturday with a three-game lead over the Heat in the chase for home-court advantage and has made no secret of its desire to get the top seed in its quest to win the teams first NBA crown. Bynum will give the Pacers another big body off the bench, backing up All-Star centre RoyHibbert. And his offensive skills give Indiana another scorer to go with the leagues best defence. Miami, which struggled against Indianas size during last seasons Eastern Conference finals, tried to close the gap by signing the oft-injured former No. 1 overall pick GregOden, an Indianapolis native, last summer. Oden has played sparingly this season, though he has been improving. Saturdays move could give the Pacers an even bigger advantage -- if the 7-foot-1, 285-pound centre returns to his previous form. The move also prevents the Heat from signing Bynum as had been widely speculated. But Bynum is far from a sure thing. After the Lakers traded Bynum to Philadelphia in 2012, he missed the entire season because of knee injuries. This season, after signing with Cleveland as a free agent, he played in only 24 games before he was suspended indefinitely for conduct detrimental to the team. He was eventually dealt to Chicago, which quickly released Bynum so it didnt have to guarantee the remaining $6 million owed to him this season. Since then, Bynum has been looking for a landing spot and finally settled on Indiana. "It really wasnt a hard decision, I think its the right fit for me and, in all honesty, I think weve got the best chance of winning," Bynum said in a statement. "It will be great to back up Roy and Ill do whatever I can to help this team." With Cleveland, he averaged 8.4 points and 5.3 rebounds. NEW YORK -- MiguelGonzalez and the surprising Orioles are doing all they can to crash the Yankees party in the AL East. Nike Air Max 90 Dam Online . The rookie struck out a career-high nine over seven shutout innings in a masterful pitching performance and MarkReynolds homered twice as Baltimore tightened the division race Friday night with a 6-1 victory over New York. J.J.Hardy added a solo shot for the Orioles, who moved within two games of the first-place Yankees by winning the opener of their big three-game series. Thats the closest Baltimore has been since a 1 1/2-game deficit on June 22, less than a month before the Yankees opened a season-high 10-game cushion on July 18. "Keep doubting, we dont care," Reynolds said. "Were coming in, doing our jobs and doing the little things to win baseball games." Buck Showalters young team has been gaining ground all month, winning 18 of its last 25 to head into September as serious playoff contenders for the first time in 15 years. The latest victory increased Baltimores lead over Tampa Bay to 2 1/2 games for the second AL wild-card spot. Sitting at his locker, however, reliever LuisAyala wore an orange T-shirt that summed up the Orioles primary goal: "Buck the Yankees." "You can tell, especially in this clubhouse, the quiet confidence that everyone has, expecting to win every night," Reynolds said. "So were just going to keep riding this wave as long as it lasts." Reynolds made two spectacular plays at first base and ChrisDavis had a sacrifice fly in Baltimores three-run second against HirokiKuroda (12-10), the Yankees most consistent and durable starter this season. The 37-year-old right-hander gave up eight hits in 8 1-3 innings, going at least eight for the fourth straight outing, but again was hurt by a lack of run support. Pitching on 10 days rest, Gonzalez (6-3) yielded only four harmless singles to win for the fourth time in five decisions. He walked one and threw 66 of 97 pitches for strikes in his second win at Yankee Stadium. The right-hander beat New York 5-4 on July 30, setting his previous career best with eight strikeouts in 6 2-3 innings. "I think the adrenaline gets me going, helps me out," Gonzalez said. "I just like pitching against a good offensive team, I guess." Featuring a fine changeup and spotting his sneaky 91-93 mph fastball effectively, Gonzalez pitched like a poised veteran in his 10th major league start as the Orioles improved to 5-2 at Yankee Stadium this year. He didnt have a three-ball count until the sixth inning. "He was real fresh tonight. Obviously, he responded," Orioles pitching coach Rick Adair said. "I think Gonzos a guy that really stays in the moment. He knows where hes been. ... Hes a very fierce competitor. So were glad to have him." Swisher whiffed all four times up for the skidding Yankees, who have dropped seven of 10 and nine of 14. This was the first of 10 consecutive games against Baltimore and Tampa Bay, their two closest pursuers in the AL East. The 28-year-old Gonzalez, born in Mexico, sat out the 2008 and 2009 seasons because of a knee injury and Tommy John surgery. He was 0-7 with a 5.40 ERA at three spots in Bostons farm system last season, then was released by the Red Sox in December. He signed with Baltimore during spring training and began the season at Triple-A Norfolk. "I think hes a guy thats just letting it fly and trusting himself," Showalter said. "He doesnt have anything to lose. Heck, hes had a lot of people in his career tell him that he couldnt do something and I think he knows hes in a place where people get him and know what he brings." The absence of injured sluggers AlexRodriguez and MarkTeixeira is catching up with the Yankees. Dominated by Gonzalez, they have three hits in 21 at-bats with runners in scoring position over the past two games. "It just seemed like his fastball was getting on the hitters quicker than they thought," Yankees manager JoeGirardi said. DarrenODay worked the eighth and BrianMatusz gave up CurtisGrandersons 34th home run in the ninth before finishing the five-hitter. But the story was Gonzalez. "He was just filling up the strike zone," Swisher said. "Hes kind of a shorter guy, kind of throws it right out of his ear. Youve just got to give him credit, man. He shut us down tonight." AdamJones and MattWieters opened the second inning with consecutive singles before Davis sacrifice fly put the Orioles in front. Reynolds followed with a two-run drive into the second deck in left. Reynolds connected again off DerekLowe with two outs in the ninth. NickMarkakis added an RBI single to make it 6-0. Hardy hit his 18th homer off Kuroda in the sixth. Baltimore has won 18 games in a month for the first time since September 2004. NOTES: Baltimore announced the signing of 36-year-old LHP RandyWolf, cut by Milwaukee last week. Both lefties in the teams bullpen are converted starters: Wolf and Matusz. ... It was Reynolds 16th career multihomer game and second this season. ... New York juggled its rotation for this weekend. Rookie RHP DavidPhelps will start Saturday instead of Sunday, and RHP PhilHughes was moved up from Monday to Sunday. FreddyGarcia was bumped back from Saturday against the Orioles to Tuesday at Tampa Bay. ... Rodriguez (broken left hand) went 0 for 3 with two strikeouts and a walk in the first game of a rehab assignment with Class-A Tampa at Lakeland. RHP DavidAardsma (Tommy John surgery) pitched a scoreless inning. Nike Air Max 90 Herr Rea . Speaking to TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun on Friday, Brodeur said "Ive come to the conclusion that Im definitely going to be available July 1. Nike Air Max 90 Dam Rea . Kitna told The Dallas Morning News (http://dallasne.ws/1aaJ38v ) of his plans Wednesday. Kitna retired after the 2011 season, his 15th in the league, and was coaching football at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash.TORONTO This time it was the Leafs stifling their opponent, furiously dictating the play, and peppering the opposing netminder. But in what was easily their most complete performance of the season they were on the wrong side of the scoresheet. "Its amazing isnt it?" said an optimistic Randy Carlyle late Wednesday night. "Thats what pro sports [is], theres always something that happens that makes you shake your head. By far was our best effort in the last couple months, but no reward for it." Despite outshooting their opponent for just the fourth time all season yielding just 23 shots while firing 39 at rookie netminder MartinJones the Leafs ultimately fell for the 12th time in the past 18 games (6-9-3), edged 3-1 by the savvy L.A. Kings at the ACC. In control of the play for the better part of 60 minutes while playing without the suspended DionPhaneuf the Leafs more closely resembled the plucky, feisty group they were for so much of last season. Energetic on the forecheck, feisty on the backcheck, and finally effective at moving the puck out of the defensive zone, there was a lot to like for the home side in defeat. "Ive got no complaints with the work ethic of our group," said Carlyle. "We executed from a defensive standpoint. We made good breakout passes, we attacked, we forechecked, but we didnt win. Simple as that." "Its what we were discussing and what we needed to do to give ourselves better chances to win games," said CodyFranson, the 26-year-old who scored his first goal of the year in defeat. No team in the NHL has yielded more shots nightly than the Leafs this season 37 per game prior to Wednesdays game but against the Kings it was something different entirely. Facing his former team for the first time, JonathanBernier saw just 23 shots or about half of the 44 he had faced on average in his previous four starts. "We definitely played our best game of the year tonight," said Bernier. "We deserve a better fate." "Be better on the defensive side of the puck and in turn thatll give us more good offensive chances," said Franson. "It showed tonight. We really paid attention to the details of defence and we were able to keep them to a lower shot count than us for the first time in a while. We had some good chances, we just didnt score enough tonight." Coming off back-to-back shutouts, Jones stopped 38 of 39 shots, including an impressive stop on JoffreyLupul shortly after Franson scored the lone Leaf goal. Jones held the Kings in it long enough for JeffCarter to score the go-ahead marker midway through the final period, a bad pinch from PaulRanger ending up in the back of the net. The Leafs were fortunate to swipe many victories in the opening two months on the shoulders of goaltending and a terrific power-play, but rare was the game in which their performance rarely wavered from start to finish. Despite falling short of the desired result, this was one of those nights. Amid a difficult portion of the schedule the Blues, Blackhawks and Penguins are up next more of the same will be needed in the days ahead. "If we have that type of dogged work ethic, if we can effectively move the puck out of our zone the way we did tonight and backcheck as hard and create as many offensive opportunities then well win our share of games," said Carlyle. "But pushing that snowball, every time you lose it gets bigger." "Weve got to build off what weve done," MasonRaymond said. "I dont think theres any question that was one of our better games weve played in a long time. The shot totals, not giving up odd-man rushes, a lot of good things you can take from it. "Sometimes you dont deserve wins and you get them and we were on the opposite of that maybe tonight." Five Points 1. Bernier vs. L.A. Then the head coach of the Anaheim Ducks, Carlyle got his first glimpse of JonathanBernier in London, England at the O2 Arena on Sept. 29, 2007. It was the first start of Berniers NHL career and the outset of the 2007-08 season. "He was a young kid then," Carlyle recalled of the now 25-year-old Leafs netminder, drafted by the Kings in the first round of the 2006 Draft. Bernier stopped 26 of 27 shots that day across the pond, backstopping Los Angeles to a 4-1 win. "For an 18-year-old to come out of junior hockey and start in the NHL it was quite a feat," said Carlyle. Starting against his former team for the first time, Bernier made 20 saves. He was beaten five-hole by Carter for the eventual game-winner. Speaking prior to the game, Carlyle said the Leafs were "very, very fortunate" to have Bernier on their side. "Theres been a focus right from the day we acquired him that he was going to be our starting goaltender, he was going to be this, he was going to be that, he was here to seize the opportunity, seize the job, and he hasnt disappointed," said Carlyle of Bernier, who owns a .927 save percentage this season. 2. Rielly Checks In Simplicity was the message for MorganRielly as he re-entered the lineup on Wednesday night. "The simple things are the best way to go right now," Carlyle said in regards to Rielly prior to the game. Nike Air Max 90 Dam Prisjakt. "Make the simple play; make the good first pass, take the body, stop progression, jump up in the play when you have an opportunity, but move the puck. Move the puck, move it effectively. Dont try to do too much." Paired with JakeGardiner for the first time all season, the 19-year-old logged nearly 20 minutes against the Kings, replacing John-MichaelLiles on the Toronto back-end. Rielly had been a healthy scratch in the previous three games. "We felt MorganRiellys worked hard and is deserved of an opportunity and well make decisions again for the next one [Thursday] night," said Carlyle. 3. Defensive Effort Among the more encouraging elements of the Leafs game in defeat was the ferocity with which they defended, eliminating many of the odd-man opportunities which had plagued their game in October and November. Especially impressive for the group in that regard was the effort of the forwards on the backcheck. "If youre not giving up odd-man rushes it makes easy on a goaltender and the shot numbers as I kind of mentioned earlier," said Raymond. "We were better on the defensive side of the puck," said Franson. "Our forwards worked real hard on our forecheck and they backchecked hard all night and made it an easier night on [the defence] to make reads when to jump in and when to back out."The 23 shots against was the second fewest for the Leafs all season. Back on Nov. 25, they yielded just 22 in a 6-0 blowout loss to Columbus. 4. Welcome to the NHL It was the lockout year (2005-06) and a young JasonSpezza was playing in JerryDAmigos hometown of Binghamton, New York. DAmigo was just in bantam hockey then, but it was there at a team function with the Senators AHL affiliate spaghetti dinner! that he met Spezza. Befitting of his welcome into the NHL, the 22-year-old lined against the Senators captain over the weekend and was suitably in awe. "It was just crazy just seeing him out there and playing against him," DAmigo told the Leaf Report. "I actually thought to myself Im like wow this actually really happened." 5. Road to the NHL Picked in the sixth round of the 2009 Draft, DAmigo played in 208 games with the Marlies before finally getting his first NHL opportunity with the Leafs. "Its definitely been awhile," said DAmigo, limited to just under five minutes against the Kings. "The three years I spent in the minors, it seems like a long time, but when [I was called up] obviously everything kind of flushes from your mind and you dont think about that stuff anymore. You just think about that youre here and youre not wanting to leave basically." DAmigo arrived at his first NHL training camp in the fall of 2010 amid considerable hype and (probably unfair) expectation. There was even talk that he might crack the Leafs opening night lineup. But when that failed to materialize the buzz on the former American World Junior star quieted down to the point of his long-awaited debut against the Stars on Dec. 5. "It was one of those things where I had high hopes to make it, but I didnt know how hard it was going to be and then I sort of got that," DAmigo said. "You want to think its going to happen soon, but it doesnt. It takes a lot of hard work and a lot of learning of systems, learning how to prepare on and off the ice basically and thats what I had to do the past couple years to sharpen those tools a little bit and be where I am now." Former Marlies coach and now Oilers bench boss DallasEakins often spoke of the need for DAmigo and other young Toronto prospects to learn what it takes to become a professional. "And you dont really notice it until it happens, until you see the progression that youve made," DAmigo said. "I can see my first year, my weight, my eating habits were terrible. Ive had guys along the way that helped me, especially Dallas, and a lot of other coaches and players as well." Stats Pack 6-9-3 Leafs record over the past 18 games. 4 Games this season in which the Leafs have outshot their opponent. 4 Consecutive games with a point for JakeGardiner. Gardiner has a goal and three assists in that span and now has 10 points in 31 games this season. 19:28 Minutes for MorganRielly against the Kings. 1 Goal for CodyFranson this season, scoring his first against the Kings on a five-on-three advantage. 216 Consecutive games streak snapped Wednesday for DionPhaneuf, who served the first of a two-game suspension against the Kings. 9 Consecutive games in which the Leafs have allowed a power-play goal. 6 Shots for DavidClarkson against the Kings, a season-high. 35-21 Shots advantage for the Leafs at even-strength. Special Teams Capsule PP: 1-3Season: 24 per cent (4th overall) PK: 1-2Season: 76.6 per cent (27th overall) Quote of the Night "Sometimes you dont deserve wins and you get them and we were on the opposite of that maybe tonight." -MasonRaymond, on falling to the Kings despite the largely positive performance. NAPLES, Italy -- Italy won both singles matches against Britain in straight sets on Sunday to reach the Davis Cup semifinals for the first time in 16 years.Adam Jones Authentic Jersey . Fabio Fognini pulled off a surprise 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 victory over two-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray to level the best-of-five quarterfinal at 2-2 before Andreas Seppi defeated James Ward 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 in the decisive match. "A great feat, a great success for all Italian tennis," Italy captain Corrado Barazzutti said. "It was time we got back to the semifinals. Its credit to everyone, to a team which has a great character. It was a victory of character." Britain was looking to reach the semifinals for the first time since 1981 but Fognini was in commanding form to end Murrays run of 19 consecutive singles victories in the competition. Seppi rarely struggled against a player ranked 127 places below him and comfortably served out for the match. Italy will play Switzerland in Septembers semifinal. "Today I just played better than Andy and thats tennis," Fognini said. "I was annoyed yesterday after the doubles. This was a very important victory, its certainly my best match in Davis Cup. I just stayed focused on my game and I managed to win." Fognini triumphed in the match between the countries top players, despite dropping his serve in the first game. The 13th-ranked Fognini managed to save two break points but double-faulted to hand Murray the opening game. Fognini had the opportunity to break straight back but hit long and then netted on another break point as Murray went on to take a 2-0 lead. In a typically lively Davis Cup atmosphere, British fans chanted "Fabio, we are in your head," but he was cheered on by the vociferous home support. Fognini broke Murray to love and earned another break when Murray double-faulted as he won five straight games to take the opening set. Murray almost dropped serve again early in the second set as he had to fend off two break points after being 40-0 up. However, Fognini broke twice at the end of the set following another double-fault from Murray on the first of two break points. The final set went with serve until the final game, when Fognini went up 40-0 on Murrays serve. Murray saved one match point when Fognini netted a forehand, and rescued the second with a crosscourt volley but hit the third into the net. It was Murrays second defeat in 20 singles matches in the Davis Cup. Fognini moved to 14-2 on clay this season. "He played very well today, thats for sure," Murray said. "Hes a very good player especially on this surface, so I knew it was going to be a tough one and I wasnt able to play well enough. I did OK physically, not the best, but Ive been worse." Italy had not lost at home to Britain since 1926, and Seppi protected that record by winning a match that saw seven breaks of serve in the opening set. Seppi was gifted the set after three successive errors from Ward and he held to love to take the opening game of the second. Ward missed a chance to get back into the match in the fifth game and Seppi took a decisive 4-2 lead when Ward volleyed into the net after saving three previous break points. Seppi held to love with a drop shot for a 2-0 lead in the match. Ward had to save another three break points in the first game of the third but Seppi won four games in a row en route to the victory. He sealed the win when Wards return sailed long. J.J. Hardy Authentic Jersey . Denver led by one in overtime when Houston made three consecutive 3-pointers to make it 130-122 with less than two minutes left. Parsons made the last two and high-fived with fans on the front row as he ran down the court after sinking the second one. Houston had a franchise-record, 47-point second quarter, but Denver overcame a 17-point halftime deficit to tie it at 88 entering the fourth period. The Rockets then trailed by eight late in regulation before using a 9-1 run, capped by a 3-pointer by Harden under heavy pressure from RandyFoye, to tie it at 117 with 7.1 seconds remaining. Foye made one of two free throws for Denver before Hardens shot. Foye had a chance to win it in regulation, but his jump shot was short. EvanFournier scored 26 points and AaronBrooks added 24 points and 15 assists against his former team. Brooks, who was traded to Denver on Feb. 20 for JordanHamilton, started for TyLawson, who was out with a left ankle sprain. Fournier made two 3-pointers in that span and Brooks had one. Miller led the Nuggets in that span, scoring the first seven points of that run. Houston missed three shots and had three turnovers as Denver cut into the lead. A 14-4 run by the Rockets to start the second quarter gave them a 36-31 lead. OmriCasspi and IsaiahCanaan both made 3-pointers in that stretch. Brooks made a layup after that before Casspi hit another 3-pointer to make it 39-33 with about eight minutes left in the first half. The Nuggets got within a basket after a jump shot by Brooks about 2 1/2 minutes later. But Houston responded with a 9-2 run, powered by five points from Harden, to extend the lead to 52-44. Lin had seven points in the last 42 seconds of the first half, including a 3-pointer at the buzzer, to push Houstons lead to 69-52 at halftime. LITTLE FALLS, N. Cheap Jerseys .J. -- Seventy years ago, a 19-year-old from St. Louis was on a small attack boat launching rockets at the Germans during the Allied invasion of Normandy. Lawrence Peter Berra, a minor league baseball player who would later become known worldwide as Yogi, emerged unscathed from that bloody day. Now 89 years old, Berra was honoured Friday by the New Jersey museum that bears his name, as well as by the Navy and several veterans groups. His age prevented him from participating in ceremonies in France. He sat in a wheelchair, a wearing a Navy blue Yankees windbreaker in the air conditioned room, along with a Yankees cap. Berra did not speak during the ceremony. But he told The Associated Press afterward that D-Day was "amazing" and "awful," as he fired at the Nazis from 300 yards offshore. "You saw a lot of horrors," he said in a voice now grown soft with age. "I was fortunate. It was amazing going in, all the guys over there." Berra, who went on to win 10 World Series titles with the New York Yankees, was part of a 6-man crew operating a 36-foot LCSS boat, the letters standing for landing craft support, small. Berra previously joked that the letters stood for "landing craft suicide squad." Their mission was to fire rockets at German gun targets to protect Allied troops struggling to storm the beach. Three of his comrades died in the invasion, which included 150,000 Allied personnel. It is widely considered the beginning of the turning of the war in the Allies favour. "We had orders not to go on the beach," Berra said. "They went on their own, and they got it. We had to stay back and protect them." During the ceremony, Berra was lauded by the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award Foundation, by the military support group Quilts of Honor, which presented him with a quilt bearing his likeness and several of his remembrances of the day, as well as by several dozen sailors from New Jerseys Earle Naval Weapons Station. Former Los Angeles Dodgers manager Tommy Lasorda also attended but did not speak. "It is fitting that we gather here to honour an American treasure," said Peter Fertig, president of the Bob Feller award group. "Lawrence Peter Berra, better known as Yogi, served on a rocket boat and was at the tip of the spear at Normandy 70 years ago this morning. Imagine how you would have felt sitting in a boat and seeing so many missiles and rockets soaring over your head, and yet you and your comrades still have a job to do. What a debt of gratitude we owe to those who gave up their American dream so that we could live ours." Cheap Jerseys from china .
