Brandon Hynes and Yannick Dube scored in the shootout Thursday as the Victoriaville Tigres defeated the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 5-4 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Daniel Milan and Carl-Antoine Delisle also scored for the Tigres, who got 27 saves from David Honzik. Thomas Gobeil had a goal and an assist for Baie-Comeau (27-26-5), while Alexandre Ranger, Samuel Noreau and Jonathan Lessard also scored. Lukas Cingel added two assists and Jimmy Appleby made 35 saves. In the only other game in the QMJHL, Shawinigan defeated Cape Breton 8-2. At Baie-Comeau, Que., tied 2-2 in the third period, Lessard gave Baie-Comeau the lead at 4:01. But Danault tied it for Victoriaville to force overtime with just 20 seconds left in regulation. Cataractes 8 Screaming Eagles 2@ At Sydney, N.S., Michael Chaput had a hat trick and added an assist as Shawinigan (40-12-7) pasted Cape Breton (21-34-3). Lou Gehrig Authentic Jersey . -- After enjoying the chance to watch Toronto beat Anaheim, the San Jose Sharks took advantage of a tired Maple Leafs team to move closer to the Ducks in the standings. Hiroki Kuroda Jersey . Mata had already been dropped from Spains squad once this season and with the country blessed with so many playmakers, he was in real danger of being overlooked for the trip to Brazil to defend their title. His side is yet to kick a ball in Major League Soccer, but Montreal Impact Head Coach Jesse Marsch has already proven hes not afraid to make bold decisions. With less than three weeks to go until the start of the clubs inaugural MLS season, the latest move made by Marsch gives his team a valuable attacking boost. In the wake of Brian Chings return to Houston earlier in the week, the Impact were left fairly short of attacking options, but a decision by United States international Eddie Johnson to return to the league handed them with a golden opportunity to strengthen up front. Montreal used their position at the top of the leagues allocation order to sign Johnson and then trade him straight to Seattle in exchange for Mike Fucito and Lamar Neagle. Marschs first big decision was whether or not to acquire Johnson or pass on the 27-year-old U.S. international who is coming back to MLS after four years playing in Europe and a short stint in Mexico. As the lone expansion club this year, the Impact held the top spot in the allocation order, Major League Soccers way of assigning U.S. internationals who are returning to the league. By taking Johnson, the Impact now moves to the bottom of the order and therefore lose a valuable asset. Marsch will have explored all the available options in the 24 hour period after Johnson signed with the league. The forward would have been a useful addition to his squad, but with interest from other clubs it was possible for the Impact coach to get what he perceived to be better value. Colorado Rapids were thought to be the frontrunners to sign Johnson, but Marsch managed to arrange a trade with Seattle Sounders which sees two players with a big upside move to Montreal. Seattle Coach Sigi Schmid had to make a brave decision of his own as he tries to take his Sounders side to the next level. There are questions surrounding Johnsons form and fitness, but if they can get the forward firing on all cylinders they could have found the perfect foil for Colombian Fredy Montero. The negative reaction with which many Seattle supporters greeted the trade was less about Johnsons arrival and more a show of respect and appreciation for what Fucito and Neagle have brought to their club over the past couple of years despite neither player being a regular in the starting line-up. Fucito started 13 of his 19 regular season appearances in 2011, but was also effective for the Sounders in the US Open Cup and CONCACAF Champions League. The 46th overall pick in the 2009 SuperDraft burst onto the scene scoring an injury time winner against Sporting Kansas City in April 2010 and had become a valuable part of the Sounders squad who was loved by the fans because of his work ethic and readiness for a battle. After an impressive 2010 with Charleston Battery in the USL, Neagle proved to be an equally useful option for the Sounders last year with five goals and two assists in 23 MLS appearances (9 starts). The decision for Schmid to part ways with Neagle was made even more difficult by the fact that hes a local boy, from Federal Way, Washington. If Schmid had kept them, Fucito and Neagle would not have been starting for the Sounders each week. In the Pacific Northwest they would no doubt still have played a valuable role providing depth, but in Montreal they now have a very realistic opportunity to become first team regulars. The arrival of Fucito and Neagle will give Marsch a youthful impetus ggoing forward and it now also seems likely that veteran forward Eddie Sebrango will be added to the teams roster. Paul ONeill Jersey. Now 38 years old, it would be an ideal end to Sebrangos storied career with Montreal if he manages to make it into the clubs MLS squad. Sebrangos exemplary attitude, experience and strong character would be a great asset to Marsch heading into an expansion season. Hes unlikely to be a regular starter for Montreal, but the Cuban born striker could still do a job coming off the bench. Marsch now has a few options available in attack as his team arrives in Florida for the final stage of preseason, but he still needs to add greater firepower. That help will likely come in mid-season, with all signs pointing to Montreal strengthening their forward line in July with the arrival of a Designated Player. Moving Up Vancouver Whitecaps also benefit from Montreals decision to pick up and then trade Eddie Johnson. The Whitecaps now move up to top spot in the MLS allocation order which means they will get the first right of refusal to sign the next United States international to return to Major League Soccer. The Caps were linked with Glasgow Rangers defender Carlos Bocanegra in the Scottish media last week, and although a move is unlikely at this stage, they are now in prime position to pick up another quality player should the opportunity arise. Holding first place in the allocation order will also give Vancouver a valuable bargaining tool if they are looking to trade within MLS at any stage in the coming weeks. The latest piece to be added to Martin Rennies squad is midfielder Barry Robson. The Scottish international will join the Whitecaps in July following the conclusion of the season with his current club Middlesborough in the English Championship. The 33-year-old has plenty to offer both on and off the pitch. When listening to Robson talk about the move, its clear that he isnt crossing the Atlantic with a view to having an easier life in the closing stages of his career. Hes a winner and hes determined to play a part in helping the Whitecaps achieve their goals. He talks with passion about the challenge ahead and will certainly be a positive influence within the locker room. Silva Lining Heading into the MLS SuperDraft in Kansas City in January, Toronto FC Head Coach and Technical Director Aron Winter made it clear he wasnt expecting any of the clubs picks to make an immediate impact in Major League Soccer. He said he would be satisfied if he could pick up a couple of players who could be eased in slowly and called upon when needed during a long season. Six weeks on, the clubs first round picks Luis Silva and Aaron Maund are showing signs they are up to the challenge. Fourth overall pick Luis Silva has been particularly impressive in training and caught the eye during Torontos first preseason action on Friday when he scored two goals in a 5-1 win over University of South Florida. Silva had a standout final year at the University of California Santa Barbara and was a semi-finalist for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy. The 23-year-old is well suited to Torontos attack-minded style of play and if he can continue his impressive development he could prove to be an extremely valuable addition as the season progresses. The 2012 Major League Soccer season kicks off on Saturday, March 10 when Vancouver Whitecaps host Montreal Impact live on TSN at 6 p.m. ET, 3 p.m. PT. cheap nfl jerseys cheap jerseys ' ' '
